jurisdiction to wind up a company with its registered office in Shan- -ghai shall be the Supreme Court for China, and in all other cases the

Supreme Court of Hongkong, and altering the definition so as to provide

that the Court means the Court having jurisdiction to wind up the

company, or

(2) By altering the present definition by adding the words "in the

case of a company with its registered office in Shanghai the Supreme

Court for China and in all other cases* after the word "means". The

second alternative seems to be the more simple method of effecting the

alteration.

It might be desirable to have some provision,

similar to that contained in Section 180 of the Companies (Consolida-

-tion) Act 1908, to the effect that any Order made by the Court in

Hongkong for or in the course of winding up a company shall be en-

-forced by the Shanghai Court in all respects as if the Order has been

made by that Court, and vice versa.
